Quality Control Supervisor – Servicing

Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Control Supervisor – Servicing to oversee the underwriting review and accuracy of due diligence reviews completed on seasoned loan assets (non-performing, re-performing, performing, scratch and dent etc.).  This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our results for the buyer/seller of a loan sale transaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the quality control team. Lead and supervise a team of Quality Control Servicing Underwriters, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of a sample of completed loan files to ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, investor requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify trends and root causes of errors from servicing review and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Analyze reports to identify areas for process improvement and recommend changes to underwriting procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest mortgage industry regulations and ensure the team is informed of any updates.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on quality control activities.

Skillset & Qualifications Required:

  • Recent due diligence experience is essential.
  • A minimum of five years of servicing experience with knowledge of foreclosure, bankruptcy and loss mitigation.
  • Deep understanding of servicer transaction history logs such as cash posting, corporate advances and escrow transactions.  
  • Proven experience in mortgage loan quality control processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of underwriting guidelines, investor requirements, and relevant regulations (FHA, VA, USDA, QM, Non-QM etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Servicing: GSE defect experience a must
  • Experience using the Scienna or LauraMac applications is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and mortgage loan processing software.
